BREAKING NEWS.... COVID-19 : PALPABLE FEAR IN EDO AS SPEAKER OKIYE IS MOVED OUT OF BENIN WHILE ANOTHER INDEX CASE WAITS COMFIRMATION.

There is palpable fear in Edo state now as the state of health of the Speaker, Edo  State House of Assembly, Hon Frank Okiye deteriorates.

Reports reaching SPARKNEWS NAIJA desk say Okiye, who was said to be receiving treatment at that Stella Obasanjo Hospital facility showed signs that the facility could no longer cope with thus the need to seek further attention.

As at the time of filling in this report, Speaker Okiye is been taken out of Benin to Irrua Specialist  Hospital, Irrua where he is expected to get a better attention.

Meanwhile, another index case for Edo state may likely be announced anytime from now to make the index case for Edo to be 2, if information gathered by SPARKNEWS NAIJA desk is anything to go by.

The case is of a "woman-European- returnee"  who reportedly manifested great signs and symptoms of covid-19 in Benin City.

The woman was said to have reported at the UBTH where she is currently been examined and managed.
