BANDITRY : SOKOTO STATE GOVERNMENT TO SUPPORT AFFECTED COMMUNITIES.

Following the unfortunate banditry attack at Gangara Village in Sabon Birni LGA area of Sokoto state, the state Governor,  Aminu Waziri Tambuwal  has visited the affected community, commiserates with the people and the entire state on the unfortunate death of the good citizens of the state.

The Governor who was accompanied on the visit by the state Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Sani Kaoje, State Director (DSS) I. Salama;  Commander 8 Div. Garrison, Nigeria Army, Brig. Gen. M. K. Gara; Commander 119 Composite Group, Nigeria Airforce, Grp. Capt. G.A Bello; as well as the state Commander, NSCDC,  Umar Musa Bala charged the people of the community to dismiss any notion of taking laws into their hands, while assuring them of timely and professional handling of the incident by the State Government and Security Agencies.




The Governor equally announced interim and long term financial stimulus to the community even as he promised to wipe the bandits out of the state without fear.

It would be recalled that no fewer than 22 persons we're reportedly killed while 21 others were severally injured in Sokoto state's Sabon Birni Local Government Area by heavily Armed Bandits.
