JUST IN : LAGOS COURT CONVICTS FUNKE AKINDELE AND HUSBAND.

Nigerian actress, Funke Akindele Bello and her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello (JJC Skillz) have pleaded guilty to violating a lockdown order by the state government to curb the spread of Coronavirus.

The couple were arraigned at the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Ogba on Monday.

They pleaded guilty to the one count filed against them by the Attorney General of Lagos State.

The couple violated the Lagos State Infectious Disease(Emergency Prevention) Regulation 2020, an offence which is punishable under Section 58 Public Health Law Cap P16, Vol.9 Laws of Lagos State, 2015.

Meanwhile, Funke Akindele and her husband have been found guilty, convicted and fined 100,000 Naira each by an Ogba Magistrate Court in Lagos.

Delivering the Judgement after the couple pleaded guilty, Magistrate Y.O. AJE - AFUNWA ordered the defendants to pay the sum of a hundred Naira each as fine, serve a 14day community service after which both will observe a mandatory 14 day period of isolation as directed by  Lagos State government to assertain their COVID-19 status.
