The unprecedented increase in the number of index cases of coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria is becoming a little bit worrisome if the figures disched out by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC is anything to go by.
According to NCDC, in it's Tweeter handle released late Saturday and gotten by SPARKNEWSNAIJA, a total of Two Hundred and Twenty (220) new cases were recorded in Nigeria thus bringing the total index cases to Two Thousand, Three Hundred and Eighty- Eight (2388) confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria, while a total number of Three Hundred and Eighty-Five(385) patients of the total index cases have been discharged.
NCDC also indicated that no fewer than Eighty-Five (85) patients were unsuccessful as they were lost to the pandemic.
The breakdown of the 220 new cases of COVID-19 as presented by NCDC is as follows

However, NCDC, the Federal, State and local Governments have enjoined Nigerians to continue with the precautionary measures put in place to check in spread of the virus.
