EDO 2020 : GOV. OBASEKI INTENSIFIES CONSULTATION AHEAD OF EXITING APC . . . "it is Edo people's struggle against forces of retrogression". . . OBASEKI.

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has  continued his consultations with relevant stake  holders in the Nigerian  body politics to determine the next step and direction for him and his teaming supporters in the APC in Edo state.

The latest  of the consultation took him to Rivers State where he met with Governor, Nyesom Wike on Sunday, and revealed on the same day that his next move will be decided after his meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in a post on his official Twitter handle.

To Governor Wike and his other brother governors of the South-  South, wrestling for the political soul of Edo is a must for the zone. Sources close to the South-South governors say, the possible movement of Governor Godwin OBASEKI and his supporters, preferably to PDP, will now make the Zone stronger and better,as there will no longer be a mole or black leg in the house.

The source, who pleaded anonymity,  in a telephone chat with SPARKNEWSNAIJA, said "the long awaited opportunity to reunite the zone has presented itself with the killer crisis ravaging the APC, stressing that prominent sons and daughters, political gladiators, Captains of industry and other law-abiding citizens of the zone will not allow this, long awaited opportunity waste"

Reports say both Governors Wike and Obaseki had useful and fruitful discussion on how best to salvage the people of the zone from the shackles of mismanagement in government, bad leadership and high- tech corroption that the nation is currently exposed to.

In the same manner, goovernor Godwin OBASEKI was in Akwa Ibom state where he met with governor brother, Udom Emmanuel. Both Governors were said to have had useful discussion on several issues ranging from National politics to Edo 2020.

In the wake of his disqualification by the APC Edo 2020 governorship primary screening Committee, governor Godwin OBASEKI made do his promise not to appeal the committee's recommendations as, according to him, "they were acting a prepared script, which leads to nothing and as such, I can not honor them by challenging a premeditated position"

But for his next step, Edo state goovernor said "I am leading and representing a people who know what they want and value what they have. I can not just take a unilateral decision about the fate, development and growth of the people of Edo without consulting with them. I have since commenced consultations even before their report, so nobody but themselves was surprised about their recommendation."

"In the next few days, Edo People will speak and it will be loud enough for even the deaf to hear and bright enough for the blind to see" says Goovernor Obaseki.

Edo state goovernor then thanked the masses of the people of the state "for your solidarity and support in the face of a gang up to mismanage, deprive us of growth and development, turn our state to the city of thugs and criminals."

"This struggle, certainly is not my struggle but yours, it is our collective struggle as a people, it is a struggle of light against darkness, and we all know the truth must prevail."
