As the primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo state draws near, a Frontline contender for the Denis Osadebe Avenue, government house, Hon Mathew Iduoriyekemwen has called on all the leaders and party members of the APC in Nigeria, most especially, in Edo State to close ranks in other to improve upon the level of development currently been experienced in the state.
Iduoriyekemwen who stated this in a chat with newsmen in Abuja after submitting his forms said the current strive, misunderstanding, and issues of discord are distractions to the wheel of progress the All Progressives Congress (APC) have brought to the state.
The former NDDC Commissioner representing Edo State, said comrade Adams OSHIOMHOLE may have laid the foundation of the New Edo state but that Governor Godwin OBASEKI have genuinely, in the spirit and dictates of our party, improved upon what he met thus taking the party to the next level.
"All of us should agree, as Party men, that this governor has worked in our name for the people, though his style may be different from what we are used to, but that does not mean the party under him lost focus, as some of the aspirants may be insinuating." said Matthew Iduoriyekemwen.
I am a stabilizing force and factor in the polity. For as much am indicating my interest to govern Edo State for the third time now is indicative of my depth of knowledge about what Edo people need. We can not and should not compromise the standard of work done for our people.
I will work with all progressive Edo sons and daughters in and out of Edo state to sustain, as well as improve on existing growth and development been executed by our APC governor, Godwin OBASEKI.
