EDO 2020 : "WE WERE NOT PART OF THAT ENDORSEMENT" . . . IPAC

By Nosa Ekhator.

Since the porported adoption of the People's Democratic party ( PDP)'s  candidate in the September 19, 2020, Godwin OBASEKI by a committee of other political parties in Edo State, the action has not gone down well with some stakeholders in the polity.

Frontline on this line of objection to the supposed adoption by the 35 political parties are the members of the Inter Party Advisory Council(IPAC) in Edo State who said at a press conference in Benin city that the organizers of the porported adoption are not members of the Parties they claimed to be and that they did not have the mandates of the respective parties they claimed to have represented.

Ambassador Tracy Ebun  Agol is the Publicity Secretary of IPAC and the GOVERNORSHIP candidate of New Nigeria Peoples' Party (NNPP) who "said the registered political parties who are members of IPAC were not part of the said adoption of Governor Obaseki by 35 political parties ahead of the election."

Speaking in the same vein, Ambassador Joseph Osa Omoregbe of Accord Party, Chief Isaac Ariah of APGA, Chris Inegbedion of ADC, Ogbodo Orlando of AAC, and Victor Idahosa Eboigbe of APP we're all unanimous in their rejection and opposition to the adoption issue

They all said "the adoption is a journey to no destination as our GOVERNORSHIP candidates will go ahead to contest while one of us will win".

They also said "there is no plan to collapse our party structures into the PDP or any other party in the forthcoming election"
