Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has assured judicial Officers of Edo state Judiciary, those of the Federal High Court and the Court of Appeal, resident in Benin City of conducive and befitting accommodation as they discharge their duties as the last hope of the masses as well as the pillar of our democracy.
Governor OBASEKI stated this while inspecting the construction of judges’ quarters in Benin City, which, according to him, is part of plans to reposition the state as the judicial hub in the South-South region.
The governor, said that the project is in line with his administration’s promise to build decent and comfortable houses for judges in the state.
According to him, “Our goal is to ensure that we provided enough accommodation for all our judges in the state. It is not only for judges in the State High Court but also judges of the Federal High Court and the Court of Appeal Judges who are posted to work in the state will also enjoy the accommodation.”
In a related development, the
renovation of The Edo State Secretariat's blocks C and D within the Secretariat Complex along Sapele Road in Benin City, has transformed the complex into a world-class centre and serve as a hub for civil service and government's activities.
This Secretariat complex, which was constructed by the Sam Ogbemudia administration was abandoned by past administrations. It will interest you to note that, the remodeled Secretariat complex is said to have 24hrs power supply which will enable civil servants work their best.
