The one day event, put together by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), with the theme, "Edo 2020 : UPHOLDING FAIR PLAY, DECENCY AND EQUITY IN AN ELECTION" was designed to sensitize media practitioners and politicians on how to operate in an election environment.
In his remarks at the event, the Director General, NBC, Prof ARMSTRONG IDACHABA said "Edo Election is the first Election to be conducted in Nigeria since the outbreak of Covid-19 and as such demands extra vigilance and care", stressing that "the NCDC health protocol should be adhered to strictly for safety".
To Prof IDACHABA, "having observed that politicians no longer adhere to the Covid-19 protocols in their varrious Campaign grounds, then Journalists should take health in their hands to work safe and stay safe".
