TRIBUTE : LATE SIR CHIEF DR. ALFRED EGHOGHO EGHOBAMIEN ; A GREAT ALUMNUS OF IUO.

As the Vice Chancellor,  I write on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, Staff and Students of Igbinedion University Okada to commiserate with the families of Eghobamien Ogbede Oyo of Ogbe Quarters and that of the Orakwe Osa family of Igun-Eronwon, Benin City, the Nigeria Bar Association NBA and the good people of Edo state on the transition of the patriarch of the Eghobamien family, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, distinguished elder statesman and the Okhenagbo of Okpella, Late Sir, Chief Dr. Alfred Oghogho Eghobamien SAN, a distinguished alumnus of Igbinedion University Okada.

The Late Sir Chief Dr. Alfred Oghogho Eghobamien was a distinguished Honorary Alumnus of Igbinedion University Okada who was conferred with the prestigious Doctor of Law (Honoris Causa) award in 2012 at the 10th convocation ceremonies of the University. He was a great associate of Igbinedion University and a long-standing acquaintance of the House of Igbinedion. 

Late Sir Chief Alfred Eghobamien was an astute professional, seasoned technocrat, a renowned legal luminary and an accomplished solicitor and advocate. 

We join millions of Nigerians to bid Late Sir Chief Dr. Alfred Oghogho Eghobamien Farewell and pray that his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
We wish him eternal rest in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ.
