EDO STATE GOVERNMENT REVIEWS CURFEW; NOW 10PM TO 6AM DAILY. IDENTIFIES WITH THE POLICE, TO REBUILD BURNT POLICE STATIONS .

The Edo State Government has adjusted the curfew time in the state to span between 10pm and 6am daily, effective from today, Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
According to the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Communication Strategy, Mr. Crusoe Osagie, in a statement, “The state government has further reviewed the curfew time in the state to commence from 10pm to 6am daily, as against 6pm to 6am. The adjustment will be effective from Tuesday, November 3, 2020.”
He reiterated that the government is fully committed to the security of lives and property and is working with security agencies to ensure peace and order is fully restored in the state.
Meanwhile, Edo state governor Mr. Godwin Obaseki has assured the officers and men of the Nigerian police serving in the State Fair welfare and other incentives to boost their moral to working effectively in the state.
Governor Who stated this in Benin City,Monday, said "the government and the people of Edo State understand and appreciate the work of the good and professional policemen serving in the state." He enjoined them "not to allow events of last few days be seen as direct Target on the police rather a means by our youths to make sure the nation has working institutions".
Governor Godwin Obaseki who said this while addressing police officers at the State Police Headquarters, BENIN CITY said "the state government will rebuild all the police stations burnt down by #Endsars protesters while the hospital bills of all injured officers will be taken care of by the State government among other incentives."
The governor then enjoined the police officers to return to their duty posts "as we can not afford to leave the state for hoodlums and criminals to hold".
