YOU DID WELL IN YOUR FIRST TERM, YOU CAN DO BETTER IN THE SECOND TERM. . . Anglican Bishop tells Edo Governor.
By Mike ALADENIKA.
The Diocese of Sabongidda-Ora (Anglican Communion) has observed that Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin OBASEKI and his Deputy, Comrade Philip Shaibu had "worked very hard in their first term with the execution of people-oriented projects and development of infrastructure in different parts of the State and by so doing, engraved their names in the hearts of the people."
The church, In a letter to the governor dated 12th November, 2020 and signed by the Bishop of the Diocese, The Right Rev. Augustine Ohilebo on behalf of the Clergy and Laity, a copy of which was made available to SPARKNEWSNAIJA,
"enjoined the duo to work harder and surpass the people’s expectations as they commence their second term in office."
The church also congratulated Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki and his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu on their successful inauguration while
expressing "gratitude to God for giving Edo State one of the most peaceful and credible elections in the history of Nigeria’s democracy, as well as successful inauguration ceremonies, adding that it was clearly an answer to their collective prayers and disposition to peace and harmony."
The Anglican Diocese of Sabongidda-Ora however appealed to the Governor to consider the construction of Sabongidda-Ora-Sobe Road and the Afuze-Erah-Ekpoma Road in Owan West and Owan East LGAs respectively which they described as two of the major roads that are very dear to their people and crying for attention.
The Diocese promised to continue to uphold Mr. Obaseki and Hon. Shaibu in prayers and bring forth suggestions from time to time for the success of the administration.
