President Muhammadu Buhari has extended the tenure of Mohammed Adamu as the inspector general of police (IGP) by three months.
Mohammad Dingyadi, minister of police affairs, confirmed this to state house correspondents on Thursday at the presidential villa, Abuja.
The statement was a practical U-turn from the initial statement appointing an acting Inspector General of Police ahead of the retirement of IGP Mohammed Adamu.
