SENATOR DOMINGO OBENDE CONGRATULATES NEW WTO DG, DR. NGOZI OKONJO-IWEALA . . . commends president Buhari for appointing a youthful EFCC boss.

Top chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC in Edo state and  a former senator who represented Edo North at the National Assembly between 2011 and 2015,  Dr. Domingo OBENDE has commended the appointment of Dr. NGOZI OKONJO-IWEALA as the Director-General of the World Trade Organization saying "it is one appointment well deserved".

Senator Obende In a statement issued in Minna where he is presently carrying out his primary assignment, as the Chairman of the APC MEMBERSHIP  revalidation exercise, a copy of  which was made  available to SPARKNEWSNAIJA said  "Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala's global status as developmental economic expert coupled with her network of international connection will be an asset for excellent performance at the WTO". 
The Igarra born businessman in politics disclosed  that "the emergence of Okonjo-Iweala is not by chance but a product of hardwork, consistency and determination for excellence which has now paid off".

He then enjoined the new Director General of the WTO "to use her good Office to help developing nations, like Nigeria, to grow and gain some level of stability in the face of global pandemic".

On the appointment of a new boss for the nation's anti- corruption agency, EFCC, Senator Domingo OBENDE has commended president Mohammadu Buhari for keeping to his promise to involve Nigerian youths in governance of the Nation. 
Senator Obende said "the appointment of Mr Abdulrasheed Bawa as substantive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is an attestation to the fact that Nigerian youths are now better positioned for leadership".

President MOHAMMADU BUHARI had, on Tuesday, sent Mr Abdulrasheed Bawa who is 40 and a trained EFCC investigator with vast experience in the investigation and prosecution of Advance Fee Fraud cases, official corruption, bank fraud, money laundering, and other economic crimes to the National Assembly for clearance and confirmation.
