A military aircraft king air 350 has crashed in Abuja reportedly killing all the passengers on board.
Athough details of the crash is still sketchy as at the time of filing in this report , airport sources said the plane crashed in a village near the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
It was however gathered that the Military aircraft which had about seven persons on board departed around 10.30am on its way to Minna, Niger State, and crashed 15 minutes after take off.
The aircraft developed an engine failure around 10.39am and eventually crashed around 10.48am.
According to the information gathered from the Twitter handle of the Nation's aviation minister, "A military aircraft King Air 350 has just crashed short of our Abuja runway after reporting engine failure en route Minna. It appears to be fatal. We should remain calm & wait for the outcome of an investigation by the military, while we pray for the departed soul/souls if any,” the Minister tweeted.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian airforce has confirmed the crash of its Beachcraft King Air B350i (shadow 01) with the following officers on board.

According to information from the official Tweeter handle of the Director of Public Relations and Information Headquarters,Nigerian Airforce, Air Vice Marshal Ibikunle Daramola,
"This is to confirm that a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Beechcraft KingAir B350i aircraft crashed while returning to the Abuja Airport after reporting engine failure enroute Minna. First responders are at the scene. Sadly, all 7 personnel on board died in the crash
"The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), I O Amao, has ordered an immediate investigation into the incident. While urging the general public to remain calm & await the outcome of investigation, the CAS, on behalf of all NAF personnel, commiserates with the families of the deceased."
