SITING STANDARD ORGANIZATION of NIGERIA'S, SON, LABORATORY IN SOKOTO IS A PLUS . . . Governor Tambuwal

Sokoto state governor, Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has described the siting of the laboratory complex of the Standard Organization of Nigeria(SON) as a plus and a decision capable of enhancing the quality of products available to Nigerian consumers. 

Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, who made the remarks while laying the foundation stone of  the SON Laborstory Complex  at Kasarawa Area of Sokoto metropolis described the step as part of his efforts to correct the decades of exclusion  of the northern part of Nigeria from having such a structure as SON laboratory in the Zone.

The Sokoto state governor commended the Director General  Standard Organization of Nigeria  for deaming it necessary to establish its Laboratory complex in Sokoto, the seat of the caliphate.

"We are here this afternoon to complement the effort of Standard Organization of Nigeria for making it possible to establish a laboratory head office in Sokoto".

Governor Tambuwal affirmed that the good people of Sokoto state also commend President Buhari for the project being sited in Sokoto the prototype Laboratory Office.

He also stated that the project will go a long way in promoting both small scale and industrial marketing especially in this transitional period. 

In his speech, the Director-general of the organization, Mr. Faruk Salim thanked the Governor for the  land  allocated to SON and for participating in the foundation stone laying saying ceremony and especialy the promise he made to add more land big enough for a  proper conduct of the affairs of the SON.
