IF YOU ARE AGAINST RESTRUCTURING, YOU ARE NIGERIA'S ENEMY NUMBER ONE . . . Pastor Tunde Bakare.

By Mike ALADENIKA.

The running mate to President MOHAMMADU BUHARI in the 2011 presidential election and the Senior Pastor,  Citadel Global Community Church, Lagos, PASTOR TUNDE BAKARE has taken a strong swipe on the administration of President Mohammadu Buhari whom he said has derailled  from his original blue print template for national growth for NIGERIA which made Nigerians to invest their votes and confidence in his leadership.

Pastor Bakare, in his Easter mesage on the state of the nation titled ‘The Conspicuous Handwriting on the Wall,’ posted on his Tweeter handle, there are obvious and visible signs indicative of national danger far beyond what was obtainable in Goodluck Jonathan's days that made his loss at the polls inevitable stressing that President Buhari appears to have been submerged in what political scholars refer to as "the curse of second term"

Bakare who has severally declared himself as the person who will take over from president Buhari by 2023 said " I  handed the president a blueprint for national reconciliation since the commencement of his first term in 2015 but the president has obviously not found a use for the said blueprint," stressing that  "the insecurity in the land will, most likely derail  the Buhari administration which is currently racing against time, however, I do  believe that the administration could still finish well and strong if it would harken to the restructuring cries."
Pastor Tunde Bakare said "I am compelled to speak out because the state of the nation does not represent the Buhari I knew when we took that solemn journey towards rebuilding Nigeria."

I remembered vividly that PMB wrote to me: “We have shared ideas on how to engender a better country and formed a tag team for political power. May the ideas germinate fully, proliferate and give us the country of our dreams.”

"I am compelled to speak out at this point because, given the state of the nation, the legacy of President Muhammadu Buhari is in grave danger of being confined to an unsavoury side of history. I am indeed compelled to speak out because Nigeria is in a state of emergency," the Lagos based pastor said.

"For many years, Nigeria was in the intensive care unit of the universe. However, six years ago, against timely warnings  not to overlook fundamental and underlying conditions as the country prepared for the 2015 elections, her “caregivers” certified her fit and discharged her.

"Underlying conditions have resurfaced and our nation is now in a critical state. Her survival is hanging in the balance and she has been rushed to the emergency room. The diagnosis indicates that a surgical procedure is unavoidable."

"The purpose of this address is to present the facts of this diagnosis and point a way out of our current crisis even as we approach a critical juncture in the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari."
