All is now set for the convocation of the 22nd Founder's Day celebration of Nigeria's pioneer private University, Igbinedion University, Okada scheduled for Monday 10th May 2021 at the University Main Auditorium, Main Campus, Okada by 10am.
The event, according to the University's Registrar, Friday Benji Bakare Esq, which will be chaired by the Chancellor, Igbinedion University Okada, His Excellency, Sir, Chief, Dr. Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion CFR, will feature an address by the Special Guest of Honour, His Excellency Nicolas Simard, the Canadian High Commissioner to Nigeria.
According to the statement, "highpoint of the ceremony would be the presentation of the 22nd Founder’s Day Lecture and Colloquium on the theme : “INDUSTRIALIZATION : THE ROLE OF ACADEMIA , PRIVATE SECTOR INITIATIVE AND GOVERNMENT ENABLING ENVIRONMENT ” would take place both physically and virtually via Zoom on ID: 94932489933 with Passcode: iuokada for those within the West African Region while those outside the West African region are to use the same ID but with Passcode: 7425617".
"The 22nd Founder’s Day Lecture will be delivered by Professor Oyelaran O. Oyebanji, Senior Special Adviser on Industrialization to the President, African Development Bank, Abidjan, Cote d’voire and Seoul, Republic of Korea.
While the Colloquium panelists will include;
• Professor -Ing. Adonis Emmanouil Fragkakis, President, Zurich Elite Business School, Zurich, Switzerland and
• His Excellency, Dr. Joe Nyuma, Head of Chancery and Ambassador Plenipotentiary, Embassy of Republic of Sierra Leone.
All invited guests are enjoined to wear face masks as all the NCDC safety protocols will be strictly enforced."
