The Commissioner of police, Edo State command, PHILIP ALIYU OGBADU, has cleared the air on the news making the rounds about the existence of a baby factory in Evbotubu area of the state capital, Benin city.
CP Ogbadu while briefing newsmen in Benin City said the news of the baby factory is untrue as there was nothing to indicate same of the case the police investigated.
Rather, the CP said the children and their mothers were lured into Edo State from southern part of nigerian states of Ebonyi, Imo and Akwa-ibom by a woman, known as Jennifer, presently on the run.
Contrary to reports, according to CP Ogbadu, the challenge is rehabilitating these women and their children who have been so traumatized have been turned to beggars to make money for the Jennifer in question.
