CONDOLENCES : SENATOR OBENDE COMMISERATES WITH THE UMORUS, AKOKO- EDO PEOPLE.

By Mike ALADENIKA.

Senator Domingo Obende has described the death of the immediate  past council Chairman, Akoko-Edo Local Government Area, Hon Don Oteh Umoru as shocking and a blow to the family, people of Akoko-Edo and the entire Edo state.

In a condolence message issued in Abuja and made available to SPARKNEWSNAIJA, Senator Domingo Obende described  Hon  Don Oteh Umoru as "a unique personality who lived a very peaceful life during his lifetime and demonstrated same during his period as the council boss.  One thing I am happy about was that he realised his dream of becoming the council boss which God granted and he completed his tenure peacefully too.

"The news of Don Umoru's death came to me and many others as a rude shock, even though he has been battling with health challenges which we all prayed that he overcomes but God knows better".

According to Senator Obende, "Don Umoru has played his humble part towards the growth of our Council, our people and our state, we can only pray to God to grant his soul a repose as well as grant his immediate family and our people in  Akoko-Edo the fortitude to bear the loss and vacuum his death would create"

Don Oteh Umoru  is said to have died at the early hours of Sunday in a private medical  health facility in Lagos after a protracted illness.
