KUKURUKU FM : NEW RADIO-TV BERTH IN EDO, HITS AIRWAVES SHORTLY.

A new Radio station with the main thrust to broadcast quality programs to the teaming listners in Edo state and its neighbouring states is set to commence operation in the state.

The radio station, named KUKURUKU FM, is a brain child of MAGPIE  LIMITED, owned by a prominent Edo son, industrialist and politician, Senator Domingo Obende.

The KUKURUKU FM billed to transmit on 91.3MHZ Frequency channel has the capacity to get its signals to almost all the nooks and cranies of Edo state with a concurrent signal reception into some neighbouring states. 
Sparknewsnaija checks reveal that the patent rights for the KUKURUKU FM and KUKURUKU TV brands' names and logos  were granted and secured by  MAGPIE LIMITED since 2016 as confirmed from the approval letter issued by the Registrar of Trademarks, Federal Ministry of Industry and Investment, Commercial Law Department, Trademarks,  Patent and Designs registry, Abuja.

The new station which is expected to commence operation  by the third quarter of 2021, promises to dominate the airwaves as well as provide sustainable employment for professionals in the broadcast industry and teeming Edo youths.

It also promises to compete favourably with the existing broadcast stations in the state and its environs.
Speaking with Sparknewsnaija, The Executive Chairman of the station, Senator DOMINGO OBENDE, said "the station will among others promote the cultural heritage of Edo people, be educative, informative and entertainment programmes will be our hallmark". 
Our slogan shall be “TRUTH IS CONSTANT”, Senator Domingo Obende hinted.

  1. There's already a station with this name in Benin. I believe it's shortened as KU FM.
    Isn't this a copyright infringement?
