The management and volunteers of the Edo State Public Works Volunteer Scheme have sent a congratulatory message to Governor Godwin OBASEKI, his deputy, Rt. Hon. Com. Philip Shaibu , the Secretary to the State government, Bar. Osarodion Ogie and the teaming progressively minded Edo State people for the victory and judgement of the supreme Court grated in favour of governor Godwin OBASEKI.
In a statement issued in BENIN City by the Coordinator, Public Works Volunteers scheme (PUWOV), Mukhtar Yusuf-Osagie the supreme Court judgement may have appeared on papers as victory for governor Godwin OBASEKI or his administration in government but the reality of the judgement is for the people of Edo State who came out in their numbers to support Mr governor in the Election even at the face of possible intimidation and misuse of powers by some people"
Mukhtar Yusuf-Osagie said "the people and all the supporters of governor Godwin OBASEKI should be commended for their unwavering and consistent prayers, support and encouragement given to the government which should continue as we are all desirous of seeing a new, focused and development driven Edo State as envisaged and pursued by our own governor"
The PUWOV boss then "called on all the opposition who had, prior to the judgement, felt somehow about the person or policy of government to drop all issues in the interest of the state and team up with the Government to take the state to an enviable level of our collective dream."
