Former aide of former President Goodluck Jonathan, and a personal friend of the governor of Imo state Ahmed Gulak, has been shot dead in Owerri, Imo state capital.
According to an APC chieftain who spoke with SPARKNEWSNAIJA, anonymously, Ahmed Gulak, who was said to have visited the State to see his friend, Governor Hope Uzodinma was shot by unknown gunmen on his way to the Airport in Owerri en-route Abuja on Sunday morning.
Gulak, an indigene of Adamawa State, was a former member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
He decamped to the All Progressives Congress APC, in 2018 and played a leading role in the party’s controversial primary election that produced the governorship candidate for the 2019 election.
