The Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP), Edo state chapter has passed a vote of implicit confidence on the governor of the state, Mr Godwin OBASEKI for his commitment to working for the growth of the state as well as providing exemplary leadership for the government and the party.
The commendation was contained in a statement issued by the party's State Publicity Secretary, Chris Osa Nehikhare after the party's expanded State Working Committee meeting held at the party's Secretariat in Benin City.
According to Chris Nehikhare, "the meeting which was chaired by the Acting State Chairman Hon. Harrison Omagbon KSM, had in attendance, members of the State Working Committee as well as party Chairmen from the eighteen local government areas.
"The Acting Chairman briefed the meeting of the state of affairs of the party and the attendees were reassured that the decisions and actions taken so far were in the best interest of the party.
The PDP state Publicity Secretary quotes the acting Chairman as saying "that his task as acting chairman is to unite our party, thus harping on cooperation and collaboration with all members of the party while advocating for total commitment, loyalty and oneness".
The Expanded Working Committee meeting commended the Governor on the template for appointments he unveiled over the weekend and moved a Vote of Confidence on the Governor, H.E. Governor Godwin Obaseki for his exemplary leadership and commitment to building not just a Strong and United party, but a state that would be the envy of all.
