NO GOING BACK ON ANTI- OPEN GRAZING LAW IN SOUTHERN NIGERIA. . . Southern Governors.

By Mike ALADENIKA.

The conference of Governors of Southern States of Nigeria seem to be more resolute about their decision to outlaw open grazing of cattles in their respective states.

The governors who listed this among their tabled issues for discussion resolved among other things, in their communique, that open grazing will soon become illegal and criminal in the southern part of the country.

The southern Governors in their meeting in Lagos, Monday, "Set a timeline of Wednesday, 1st September, 2021 for the promulgation of the anti open grazing law in all member States", thus putting them at a seeming daggers drawn with the federal government as the FG has through the office of the Attorney general restated it's resolve to "re- claim" grazing routes in the south.
