OBA LAND GRABBING : POLICE ARREST A SUSPECT . . . Vows to ensure offenders are brought to Justice.

As efforts to recover several landed  properties from land grabbers continue, the Edo State Police Command has arrested one Odion Obasohan, in connection with the selling of landed properties belonging to His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin.


Odion Obasohan, is said, to have sold  large portion of Land belonging to  His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin, to
some unsuspecting individuals in Ogiso Community, 3rd East Circular Road, in Ikpoba-Okha local government area of Edo State.


 While Fielding questions from news men in Benin City, the police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), SP Bello Kontong said "the Police have arrested one Odion Obasohan who was found with several Deeds of ownership of Land documents which he has been issuing to  people illegally  to sell Oba's land in Ogiso Community."


The PPRO  said, the "Police will do everything possible to recover the land", he however advised the Committee For The Recovery of Oba of Benin Landed Properties to furnish them with  the necessary documents confirming  the land in question is originally owed by the Oba of Benin.
On his part, the Chairman, Committee on The Recovery of Oba of Benin's  Landed Properties, Ambassador Curtis Eghosa Ugbo said,  "all documents required by the Police to prosecute the suspect are available, and will be submitted to  them as required by the  Police"

  2. So Curtis ugbo knows how to arrest people when it comes to obas land, the oba of benin his royal highness has all edo sons and daughters as his Subjects '(children). They have been crying out loud for the last threes weeks on social media and matching to the Palace without audience giving to them. Who they cry dey see road o.
