TINUBU : MORE CONSTANT THAN THE NORTHERN STAR. . . (1)

By Mike ALADENIKA.

Nigeria's political landscape since the later days of the military dictatorship through to the current democratic dispensation have had varieties of personnels and actors crisscrossing the arena.

Many of whose footsteps could only be visible on the rocks while some have theirs on the sand of time with assured visibility, even to the blind. Many come brazinly hot with a make-believe that they are the political Mesaih the Nation has longed for but when faced with the platoria challenges facing the country, they fizzled away like early morning dew.

As Nigerians and the world now have their eyes fixated on the long awaited 2023 general elections that will certainly, expectedly as such, produce another "brand new president and political direction", not only for Nigeria but for Africa and the entire black race.

Many factors and personalities come to mind, many of whom may be wishfully dismissed as inconsequential or, at best, not relevant for immediate assignment, while some few others can not but be reconned with.

To this later school belongs one political "instructor, Mentor, Activist, non - assuming initiator, and kingmaker". A former governor, former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a true party-man, a grassroot person, and a bridge builder, the people's JAGABAN.

That he is the Asiwaju was never by error but an attestation to the fact that the battalions he lead conceded leadership to him voluntarily have identified same undisputable qualities of leadership in his person.
Many, who were at the trenches with him in the dark old military days knew a soft spoken but rigidly committed to the struggle for a better nation in "Egbon", as he was then called. Till date, years of experience and active participation in partisan politics has reinvigorated his commitment to nation building and a better Nigeria for Nigerians

ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU, the JAGABAN, is a constant recurrent decimal in Nigeria's body politics, who is more constant even than THE NORTHERN STAR. He did not only build "human roads" linking his kingsmen of Yoruba race together but build bridges across tribes, culture and religion in Nigeria.

JAGABAN, a Muslim Yoruba Nigerian is so detribalised to the extent that he is comfortably at home with you, as long as you have Nigeria uppermost in your heart, regardless of your religion and tribe.
