OBASEKI, SHAIBU OTHERS PAY LAST RESPECT TO LATE MADAM AYO AWO-OSAGIE.

Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, on Friday led other government officials to pay their respect to late Madam Ayo Edna Awo-Osagie, the mother of former Special Adviser to Governor Obaseki on Political Matters, Chief Osaro Idah and the Majority Leader, Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA), Henry Okhuarobo.

Other dignitaries at the well attended event were Edo State Deputy Governor  Rt. Hon. Comr. Philip Shaibu; Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpor; former Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole; Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Charles Idahosa, and Chief of Staff to the Governor, Osaigbovo Iyoha among others.

In his tribute to the late Awo-Osagie  Governor OBASEKI appreciated her "for her contribution to the development of her community and the state", stressing that "she lived a long, productive and influential life".

According to the governor “She touched lives and affected our communities. To her last days, she was very active in bringing peace and promoting the progress of our society."
