IRREGULAR MIGRATION : SUPPORT IMMIGRATION SERVICE TO CUB CROSS BORDER CRIMINALITY. . . CIS Chris BAIKIE.

The state governments and the various local government administrators in Nigeria have been called upon to support the varrious commands of the Immigration service in the states with logistics and other facilities to check trans border criminalities in Nigeria.

The Comptroller of Immigration service, Cross Rivers State Command, Simbabi Chris Baikie(pcc) who stated this when he played host to the Chairman,  BAKASSI Local Government Council Area,  Hon. IYADIM AMBONI IYADIM said "curbing criminalities in Nigeria must be a collective effort and supported by all government agencies".

CIS, Simbabi Chris Baikie(pcc) said "it is good to help each other to serve Nigeria well. Without security, businesses can not grow". He appealed to the visiting council boss to help facilitate, through the state government or his Council to give at least one Operational boat to the Nigerian Immigration service, Cross Rivers State Command for the smooth runnings of Immigration duties in the state".

Comptroller SC Baikie the solicited for continued support of the Local Government and Nigerians to help the service in the state to fish out and register all Migrants within the local government area and the state at large."

"Such  intelligence reports from patriotic citizens to beef up the service's data base on all Migrants within the country will safeguard Nigeria's  National Security as well as checkmate the possibility of any Migrant surreptitiously or illegally  claiming Nigerian Citizenship and subsequently warming their ways into political and other very sensitive positions in Nigeria".

Speaking earlier, the Chairman, Bakassi Local Government Council Area, HON. IYADIM AMBONI IYADIM said his visit was to create a cordial relationship as well as to pledge his administration's support to the service. 

The council boss who promised to support the divisional  Immigration Officer(DIO),ASI1 JUNAID ABDULHAMEED to have a successful and peaceful working atmosphere in Bakassi LGA.

 

HON. IYADIM AMBONI IYADIM informed the Immigration Comptroller that his council had introduced Manifest in Bakassi to help checkmate Movements of Migrants in the area.

He therefore appealed to the immigration service in Cross Rivers State to always verify Bakassi LG certificates of origin with the council to avoid fake certificates.
