POLICE PROTEST : DISTANT YOURSELF FROM THE PROPOSED STRIKE. . . AIG tells officers and men in zone 5.

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 5 Command Headquarters, Benin, AIG Lawan Tanko Jimeta, has advised his men to shun the rumored strike action by members of the Rank and File on 26th March, 2022.

AIG Lawan Tanko Jimeta, who stated this, thursday, during an interactive session with the Officers and Men of the zone in Benin City advised " junior officers to remain committed, dedicated and loyal to the Nigeria Police Force, while exhibiting high level of professionalism and eschewing all acts of mutiny.

According to the AIG, "the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, is very much committed to the welfare of the Police and is working assiduously to ensure that salary increment and other allowances approved by the Federal Executive Council is speedily implemented." 

AIG Jimeta, also assured the Officers and Men, " that plans for the adequate distribution of kits, operational equipments and other accoutrements to all personnel, renovation of Barracks and better cooperative facilities to all serving Police Officers have  been concluded."

He urged  members of the public, particularly in Edo Delta States to go about their lawful duties without fear as the Police in the States will continue to discharge their duties as expected, ensuring public safety, protection of lives and property of all citizens of the aforementioned states.

Zone 5 of the Nigerian Police is made up of Edo and Delta State Police Commands.
