The Akoko Edo candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), for the forthcoming 2023 House of Representatives election, Paul Johnson Afagase, has called on his Akoko Edo supporters to remain calm and continue to prepare for the general election despite the fake news emanating from unknown sources.
Paul Johnson Afagase who stated this in a statement personally issued, copy of which was made available to SPARKNEWSNAIJA, said " my candidacy remains sacrosanct. Since the completion of the primaries in which i emerged as the candidate, the contestation for the APC house of Representative ticket has been put to rest.
"You will recall that the party sent its officials to conduct the primaries on the 27th of May 2022 where I emerged as the candidate of the party after securing the highest number of votes. I can assure you that within all legal process of the party, I am the candidate of the party and we are winning the general election together.
The Akoko-Edo APC House of Representatives flagbearer said "those who are fighting the hand of God and the wishes of Akoko Edo are only wasting their time and the resources that should have been channelled to the betterment of Akoko Edo people."
"I am assuring you and the leadership of our dear party that I will carry our flag to eldorado without any rancour. It's your mandate, we will defend it and we will collectively work for our success in the forth coming election.
