POLITICS : OSHIOMHOLE'S SENATORIAL AMBITION SHAKY AS LUCKY JAMES, TOP APC CHIEFTAINS DUMP PARTY FOR PDP.

The Senatorial ambition of former Edo state governor, Comrade Adams  Oshiomole,  may be heading for the rocks, as  top APC Chieftains and close allies of the former National chairman of the party are perfecting strategies to dump APC for PDP.

The recent resignation of Chief Lucky James, a well-known political ally of the former comrade governor, has sent shock waves in the Edo North APC, with rife speculations  of the departure of other big wigs of the party including ward chairmen and others who have pent-up grievances against the former APC National chairman. 

Sources privy to the political undercurrents which is playing out in the Edo North chapter of the APC said the planned mass defection will be like a political tsunami by the time it is executed.

Before now, the Oshiomole's ambition was considered a "done deal" which does not require any form of stressful political campaign.

SPAKNEWSNAIJA authoritatively  gathered that the  bulk of his foot soldiers and core loyalists from his senatorial district and other parts of Edo state are ready to defect.

 In recent times, the former comrade governor has been extremely busy appearing on national television to promote the presidential ambition of  Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu while also intensifying his lobby for the headship of the APC Presidential Campaign Council. 

In his resignation letter to the party, Chief Lucky James, a former Etsako West council chairman and a core Oshiomole loyalist, pointedly said the party has derailed and has lost touch with some of his core mandates, while also complaining of injustice and the lack of an appropriate reward system

 Ironically, Chief James, who was the commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Comrade OSHIOMHOLE'S Government,  hails from Uzairue clan in Etsako West local government area, same with Comrade Oshiomole.

The former commissioner and LGA chairman in Etsako west in  a recent chat with journalists in Benin  said his resignation and concluded defection to PDP  was not due to the  defection of Senator Francis Alimikhena , whom he was a Director General of campaign organisation,to PDP over denial of the APC  senatorial ticket  as being speculated.
