The Edo State First Lady, Betsy Obaseki will on Wednesday, 7th, declare open Opportunity Fair for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to boost "Made-in-Edo Products in the state.
Commissioner, Industry, Trade and Cooperatives, Hon. Afishetu Braimoh who disclosed this while addressing newsmen ahead of the event in Benin. said her ministry has taken another bold step to further expose the owners of Small and Medium Scales business on how best to handle the nitty gritty of their businesses through organizing a fair tagged "2022 Opportunity fair MSMEs".
Hon. Braimoh said the fair which is a maiden and first of its kind in the state, is the initiative of her ministry in collaboration with Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN)
Braimoh added that the fair is slated to take place between 7th-10th September, 2022, with the theme "Expanding Access for Nigerian MSMEs".
The commissioner gave the break down and the activities connected therewith the fair while playing host to the Ambassadors of Made-in-Edo Products in her office
She said the fair is meant to showcase made-in-Edo products from different sectors and will also includes exhibition, business clinics, presentations by regulatory bodies (SON, NAFDAC, CAC, BOI, BOA, NEPC, MFBs, MMRP) and networking opportunities.
She urged the operators of MSMEs in the state to take advantage of the fair which just connotes free opportunity and networking to strengthen their businesses.
