By Mike ALADENIKA.

A local government chairmanship hopeful, under the People's Democratic Party(PDP) in Esan North East, Engr Abraham Osezuah has assure the people and communities in his local government area of even development in the provision of basic social amenities.

Engr Abraham Osezuah who stated this while chatting with newsmen said the solar street light that is ongoing in some parts of Uromi and it's surrounding communities would be extended to almost all the communities in the local government.

Engr Abraham Osezuah said the current solar electrification project is personally funded by him but would be made a council project when elected as Local Government chairman which make all communities in the area to benefit.

Speaking on his driving force and intention to touch lives, Engr Abraham Osezuah said, "It is a way of giving back to the community in which I was born and grew up. Haven read Civil Engineering at the University of Benin, i wanted to make a change when i noticed that despite development, my village was sidelined and never got connected to the national electricity grid. I had to stand in the gap by providing solar electricity to my village."
This is not the first project to be erected which has touched  the lives of people in the community, even though most have been carried out discreetly away from the press and ceremonial fanfare.

The idea of speaking up at this critical period, he said, had to do with people coming forward to lay claim to the solar electricity project i put in place for the benefit of my village and surrounding communities.

"This light cuts across Ebhoijie community through Jude Ezehi Street, up to the Palace of the Onojie of Uromi," he said.

The Local Government council hopeful then called on all the electorates to vote their conscience in all the elections, most especially the the forthcoming Local Government election in Edo state.
The humanitarian PDP candidate however promised to meet his people at the point of their need. He confirmed that he wants to open up his community, especially the hinterlands to boost connectivity to mainstream society. He said this would be his driving force as chairman of the council.

While enumerating his plans for the people, he mentioned that "when I get elected into office, aside from seeing it as the responsibility of citizens to develop their palace, I will  go a step further to develop and give it a befitting facelift to tally with modern day looks and a veritable symbol of our heritage, our culture."
