Edo NPC Intensifies E-registration Enlightenment, Advocacy In LGAs, Urge Opinion Leaders To Join Advocacy.

The e-registration enlightenment and advocacy committee of the National Population Commission, in Edo state, headed by the Honourable Federal Commissioner, Dr. Tony Aiyejina is intensifying it's advocacy campaign for the online recruitment of adhoc staff ahead of the conduct of the 2023 census.
Dr Aiyejina while addressing stake holders and opinion leaders at the headquarters of Ovia North East and Owan west local government areas of Edo state said the year 2023 census is very important to Nigeria and Nigerians.
The Honourable Federal Commissioner who was represented by the Edo state director, Ayodele Okiei, said eligible applicants who are resident in Edo state are encouraged to key in into the online recruitment of adhoc staff to work for the commission in the conduct of the census.
"The modality for this census is for enumerators and other staff to count people in their area of abode, an indication that the exercise is geo fenced."
At Sabongida-Ora, the administrative headquarters of Owan west Local Government area, the team met with a cross-section of opinion leaders which include traditional, religious, and political leaders where they were informed about the importance of the census for national development.
"We as Nigerians need to support the project because the product will be instrumental to the formulation of developmental policies which will grow the nation.
The "You count, be counted" toga for the census is self explanatory. The commission values all Nigerian and as such they must be counted.
At Okada, the administrative headquarters of Ovia North East local government, stakeholders were tutored on how to engage on the online registration for adhoc staff.
Several instructive materials were given to the people at the various points of enlightenment.
