The protracted intra party conflict that has rocked the Edo state Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) will soon be laid to rest as the supreme court sits to hear and possibly determine the matter between the Gov Godwin Obaseki and Legacy groups of the party, on Thursday.
SPARKNEWSNAIJA checks indicate that both groups of the party are warming up for the possible outcome of the proceedings of the highest court in Nigeria.
The contestation between the groups before the Supreme Court is to determine which of them should rightfully present candidates for the National Assembly seats in the state at the forthcoming general election.
Feelers from both groups indicate that whatever the Supreme Court judgement would be, it is a PDP matter and never a do-or-die matter.
Both sides are united in their summation that the journey to the Supreme Court would help to grow the polity and democracy in Nigeria.
The groups are of the opinion that whichever way the verdict goes, it is PDP that wins and as such energies would be pooled to face the election for victory for the party
