Ahead of February 25th, 2023 Presidential/National Assembly election, the Labour Party Senatorial candidate for Edo South Senatorial District, Bar. Neda Imasuen has called on Nigerias, especially eligible voters to troop out in their million to vote for the party's Presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi and all other contestants on Labour Party's ticket.
Barister Neda Imasuen who stated this in Benin City during a media interface with journalists as part of his rounding off campaign events said " Nigeria is at a critical stage now, which demands a surgical operation that could only be done by someone with a better mindset, better knowledge of the problem with ability to provide solutions and not a sheep from the same old block that has contributed to our national woes of today".
"We can not continue to do the same thing, the same way and except a different result. Nigerian have trusted and tested the two political parties with landslide disappointment to show for it. The result of their misrule include insecurity, unemployment, lack of valuable amenities, among others.
"That is why Labour Party and its candidates, led by our presidential flag bearer, Peter Obi are presenting ourselves as the most credible alternatives to right the years of decadence of a nation.
About his campaign activities across the seven local government areas of Edo South Senatorial district where he is contesting the senatorial seat, Bar Neda Imasuen said " my journey through the nooks and crannies was fantastic, informative and revealing.
"The reception gotten from places visited is indicative of the fact that the people are tired of the current system and style of administration and governance in Nigeria. Our people are desirous of real and genuine change which I and my party are offering.
"I assured the people that upon my election as their senator, I will bring the legislature closer to them by establishing constituency offices in all the seven local government areas of my district, where I will make it a point of duty to go and meet with them in a town hall meeting setting, regularly.
" I told my people that at this point in our history, we don't need a green horn for this job. My experience at the national assembly would be a value added to getting things done for our people. From my day one as a senator-elect, I will hit the ground running as the entire working system and bureaucracy of the national assemble is a familiar terrain.
"I am now calling on the electorates in Edo south not to only vote for Peter Obi but to also vote for the Senator, which is my humble self, the House of Representatives candidates and all other Labour Party candidate so that we can have a new Nigeria that works. if Mr. Peter Obi succeeds in his presidential bid he would need a National Assembly peopled by his party members to push through his vision for a new Nigeria .
He urged the Peter Obi supporters across the state that all that is required of them is to vote for Peter Obi as president, saying they must complete the journey to freedom which they started by also voting for the other candidates on the Labour Party platform.
