EDHA ELECTION : Labour Party Cries Foul, Critical of Militarisation, INEC Compromised Election.

As the results of the March 18th 2023 House of Assembly Electionn in Edo state trickles in, the leadership of Labour Party has been critical of the use of political thugs, Militarisation and the compromised status of both INEC and the security agencies in the conduct of the election.

The Chairman,Labour Party, Kelly Ogbaloi, while briefing newsmen in Benin City said  "the fact that the election was marred by low turnout, gross irregularities, and the involvement of life threatening political thugs can not be over emphasized. 

While expressing the parry's displeasure over the outcome of the state Assembly elections.

Comrade Ogabloi said "despite supporters coming out to cast their votes for Labour Party the election results announced gives cause for concern.

Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi who thanked Edo State residents and the electorate for the solidarity and support the party has been enjoying in the state while sueing for its sustenance said the  "despite supporters coming out to cast their votes for Labour Party the election results announced gives cause for concern.

              

"Labour party has records where election results were manipulated in the state  and pointed out that labour party is strongly against the ugly Development.

Edo state Chairman of labour party Comrade Ogabloi flanged by other party chieftains, including the House of Representatives Member-Elect, 

for Oredo federal Constituency Engr. Esosa Iyawe, frowned at "the inconclusive declaration of Election results in places where labour party was leading. The party will not relent in challenging INEC and others involved to ensure that the mandate is reclaimed.

"The atrocities committed by the agents and thugs loyal to the Peoples Democratic Party at ward 4, Egor and other areas of Oredo Local Government Areas are unacceptable and must be dealt with summarily.
