COUNT DOWN TO CENSUS 2023 : NPC Increases Sensitisation, Holds Workshops.

With barely a month to the commencement of the 2023 Population and Housing Census tagged CENSUS 2023, the National Population Commission (NPC) has continued with it's sensitisation and enlightenment programmes aimed at unfolding the modalities and technicalities to be employed in the national project. 

The 2023 Census which is the first IT based headcount ever undertaken by Nigeria is designed to use sophisticated but easy to use technologies to count the people and houses in all parts of Nigeria. 

The latest of the official NPC outing is the Capacity-building workshop on processes and methodology of the 2023 Population and Housing Census for members of the National Census Publicity Committee held Tuesday, 4th April 2023

at Reiz Continental Hotel, Abuja. 

The aim of the workshop according to NPC, is to provide participants with necessary information on the conduct of the 2023 Census to facilitate effective discharge of their public enlightenment roles of getting Nigerians ready to be counted.

In a related development, NPC also held a one day training session for online media practitioners, bloggers and Social Media Influencers where participants were  thought the modalities of the headcount. 

Participants at the workshop were drawn from all the 36 States of Nigeria and the Federal capital territory.
