A popular Edo State based community tabloid, The RELIANCE NEWSPAPERS will on Friday, May 26, 2023, celebrate its 15 years of unwavering, consistent, unbiased and unbroken publications.
According to a press statement jointly signed by the publisher, The RELIANCE Newspaper, Sir Ralph Okhiria and chairman of the Organizing Committee, Comrade Edosa Okunbo, the event will be held under the distinguished chairmanship of the immediate past National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Rev. Dr. Felix Omobude.
The RELIANCE 15th anniversary celebration will feature a public lecture titled "MOBILISATION OF THE RURAL DWELLERS FOR SOCIOPOLITICAL PARTICIPATION AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN A DEMOCRATIC SYSTEM: THE ROLES OF COMMUNITY NEWSPAPERS IN NIGERIA" to be delivered by a first class seasoned administrator and political scholar, Dr Isaiah Osifo.
The celebration will also feature an investiture of PATRONS and award presentations to some deserving Nigerians.
The event which is open to the general public will take place at the prestigious Thames Event Centre, along Benin-Sapele Road, Benin City, is slated to begin at 10am prompt.
