10th Senate : Bar Neda Imasuen Congratulates Senate President, Others. . . its time for us to work for Nigeria, the people.

Following the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly, coupled with the elections of principal officers, with Senator Godswill Akpabio elected as the Senate President, the Senator representing Edo South Senstorial District, Senstor(Bar.) Neda Imasuen has sent a congratulatory message to the Senate President, principal officers of the Senate and other senators for a successful inauguration.
Senator Neda Imasuen who stated this while fielding questions from newsmen after the inauguration said the new National Assembly will hit the ground running with immediate effect.
"The 10th Senate is unique in the sense that it is the first time that the assembly would be peopled with multiple political parties. This would allow for robust discussions of divergent views which will enhance the growth and development of Democracy in Nigeria as well as restore the confidence of the people in the legislature.
"Today, I thank God for the gift of life and His finding me good enough to represent my people at this very high stage of the legislative arm of government. To my people of Edo South Senatorial District and the entire State my appreciation to you will reflect in the quality representation that I will render as well as the dividend of democracy I will attract to our area.
Senator Neda Imasuen also assured Nigerians that this 10th National Assembly is aware of the current challenges facing the country and " we are hear poised to write our names in gold through our activities, contributions, debates and oversight functions. Nigerians are not expecting less and would not get less from us.
