Youths of the Labour Party in Edo State have picked Kenneth Imansuangbon as their preferred candidate for next year's governorship election.
The LP youths said they believed Imansuangbon would defeat any candidate presented by the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.
A spokesman for the LP youths, Comrade Roland Asemota started this while speaking in Benin City during a 'House to House visit' to create awareness of the candidacy of Imansuangbon.
Asemota said the PDP and the APC have failed both the state and the country at large.
He said Imansuangbon's developmental plans would bring prosperity to the people
The LP youths leader said he had read the Imansuangbon manifesto and was convinced it would take Edo out of the woods if implemented.
According to him, "Our mission is to ensure the emergence of Imansuangbon as our party's candidate. That is what we are committed to do.
"We are educating Labour Party members on why they should support and nominate The Rice Man. No one has experience like Imansuangbon.
"Edo State needs a man that has the requisite knowledge of development. Imansuangbon has never taken a government contract, he has been giving and helping the poor. Edo State needs him."
