Edo NULGE Holds Delegates Conference, Elects New Officers

The Edo State branch of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees NULGE is set to hold its 11th Quadrennial State Delegates Conference, on Tuesday 6th of August, 2024. 

The delegates conference which is to be presided over by the National President, NULGE, will take place at the Ministar Civic Center and Garden, Ora-Uzabba express way Sabongida-Ora, Edo state and delegates from the 19 branches of the Union in Edo state are to be in attendance.  

According to a statement issued by the Secretary, Edo State NULGE, Bar.Olumuyiwa Cole, copies of which was made available to newsmen in Benin City, "The conference will be presided over by the President General of the Union, Comrade Akeem Olatunji Ambali, while other National officers expected at the Conference include the Secretary General, Comrade Isah Gambo and other National Officers as well as the Edo and other States Presidents. Also expected are top government functionaries and Labour leaders from within and outside Edo State.


The Conference which is the Union's highest organ at the State level is convened every 4 years to take stock of the Union in the last 4 years through the rendering of accounts of stewardship by the outgoing leadership and the Conference taking decisions to re-position the Union. 

The event will be climaxed with election of new officers that will run the affairs of the Union in Edo State for the next 4 years commencing from September 15 when the tenure of the current leadership will expire.
