Ambrose Alli University's (AAU) Medical and Laboratory Science (MLS) students can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the lingering issues surrounding their indexing are nearing resolution. This development follows a meeting between AAU's management, led by Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Sunday Olowo Samuel, and the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) in Abuja on March 28, 2025.

The Registrar/CEO of Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN), Prof. Tosan Erhabor, expressed dissatisfaction with the delay in implementing the Memorandum of Understanding between AAU and the council. After thorough discussions, the Registrar directed the release of index numbers for recently indexed students and scheduled the Final Professional Resit examinations for April 14-16, 2025. The Batch A first Professional examinations are set for April 28-30, 2025.

Prof. G.R.A. Okogun, Dean of the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science, thanked the Registrar/CEO and various directors for their support. He also appreciated the Acting Vice Chancellor and Acting Provost Prof. Blessing Idonije for their roles in resolving the crisis.

Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Sunday Olowo Samuel attributed the successes at the College of Medicine, Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, to the support of Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, Education Commissioner Dr. Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu, and Pro-Chancellor Chief Dan Orbih.
