The Acting Vice-Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, Prof. Sunday Olowo Samuel, has been honored with the maiden Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA) AAU Chapter's Meritorious Award of Excellence.
Receiving the award in Ekpoma, Prof. Samuel expressed gratitude, saying, "This award couldn't have come at a better time, as we're working together to make the university great again."  He dedicated the award to the university's staff, students, and the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for their support.
Prof. Samuel pledged to redouble his efforts and those of the management to drive the institution's growth. He urged staff and students to shun actions that could undermine the university's reputation and to support the governor's vision for AAU.
While presenting the award, Deputy Registrar, Akhimien Felicia, praised Prof. Samuel as a special breed administrator who has brought relative peace and landmark achievements to the university. She noted that the university has consistently scored positive points since Prof. Samuel took office, attributing this to his anointing and leadership skills.
In a related development, the Acting Registrar, Mr. Ephraim Ikharehon Isiraojie, also received a Meritorious Service Award from ANUPA.
