The Management of Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma has hailed the current wave of growth and development in the institution as unprecedented. According to Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Sunday Olowo Samuel, this growth trajectory is aimed at making the university one of the best in the country.
Professor Olowo Samuel who said this while receiving the Law faculty's contingents who emerged winners in the National Space Research and Development Agency-sponsored National Round of the Manfred Lach's Space Law Moot Court Competition 2025, said
"We are proud of our Law faculty and other disciplines in this university. You have done us proud by winning this national competition, which will now take you to the continental stage before the global competition,"
The University's Acting Vice Chancellor attributed the institution's growth to the favorable disposition of Governor Monday Okpebholo and Commissioner for Education, Hon. Paddy Iyamu saying, "The current trajectory of growth and development being experienced in the university is as a result of the favorable disposition of the state governor and his commissioner for education," he said.
"It is also important to say that Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma is blessed with a proactive governing council headed by a dynamic and charismatic personality, Chief Dan Osi Orbih whose leadership, with the support of other council members, is channelling a path to greater glory for our dear institution.
He then highlighted the peaceful and conducive environment, citing the payment of minimum wage, promotions, and elevation of over 50 professors and 50 associate professors. "We are all witnesses to the peaceful and conducive environment that exists in the university this period. The workers are in good mood to work having gotten the minimum wage paid and promotions granted, approved, and released," he said.
Professor Olowo Samuel expressed gratitude to the governor, commissioner, and other stakeholders for their support. "We owe God all appreciations as much as we owe our dear governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, whom God has continued to use to help re-write the story of our university," he said. He assured that the management would continue to work towards maintaining the trajectory of peaceful growth and development.
"We will continue to do our best as a management to ensure that we do not derail from this trajectory of peaceful growth and development," Professor Olowo Samuel concluded.
