In response, Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Sunday Olowo Samuel congratulated the newly appointed Senior Special Assistants on their appointments, describing them as good ambassadors of the university.
"We are proud of your activism and dedication. As SSAs to the state governor, I encourage you to be role models for our students," he said.
Prof. Samuel also addressed the issue of 12 students previously invited to appear before the disciplinary committee, stating that he had met with the parties involved and directed a reversal of the earlier directive to allow for mutual reconciliation.
