Dear Esteemed Staff and Students of Ambrose Alli University,
I am pleased to warmly felicitate with our Muslim brothers and sisters on Eid-el-Kabir, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice. This joyous celebration commemorates the unwavering faith of Prophet Ibrahim and his son Ismail.
This special occasion is a time for reflection, gratitude, and unity, and it reminds us of the values of sacrifice, devotion, and compassion. Importantly, it commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son Ismail (Ishmael) as an act of obedience to Allah’s command.
I urge you all to embody the values of this celebration. Eid-el-Kabir teaches us the importance of sacrifice for the greater good, we recognise and appreciate the dedication and hard work each of us contributes to the success and growth of our University.
May the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir guide us towards greater faith, compassion, and service as we use it to strengthen our bonds, support one another, and continue to strive towards our shared goals. May our commitment to education, our love for our institution, and the betterment of same never waver.
I wish you all a blessed and joyous celebration.
