The management of Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma has called on stakeholders and members of the university community to support the rebranding process, aimed at improving the institution's rating among Nigerian and international university committees.
The "A Better AAU Ekpoma is Achievable" project, initiated by Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Sunday Olowo Samuel, seeks to change negative perceptions about the university.
Addressing a gathering of student bloggers, Otunba Mike Ade Aladenika, Principal Assistant Registrar and Head of Information and Public Relations, emphasized the crucial role bloggers play in shaping the university's narrative.
"You have the capacity to positively change the narrative of this university through your reporting, we owe it to the institution to project it well, and we will support you in your blogging endeavors."
Aladenika said the university management plans to organize training and expose bloggers to modern practices to enhance their skills.
The President of the Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma Bloggers Association, Molokwu Ameachi Emmanuel, appreciated the initiative and pledged that the bloggers would be responsible and objective in their reporting.
This meeting is part of the reorientation programs designed by the Information and Public Relations Unit to correct negative perceptions of the university.
