Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma has emerged as the winner of the prestigious Niger Delta Award for Most Peaceful Educational Institution in Nigeria. The University's Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sunday Olowo Samuel, has also been honored with the Niger Delta Peace Ambassador Award for his leadership and commitment to peace, excellence, and growth.
According to the organizers, Edo Legacy Foundation Inc, Professor Samuel inherited a university marred by crisis but has successfully transformed it within a year. The foundation's convener, Ambassador Pedro Omo-Aghahowa, praised Professor Samuel's disposition towards peace and development, noting that the university's progress is unprecedented.
In his acceptance speech, Professor Samuel, who was represented by the University's Director of Academic Planning, Prof(Mrs) Eunice Omoregie,
thanked the organizers, God, Edo State Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Governing Council, Management, Senate, staff, and students for their support. He dedicated the award to the collective efforts of the university community.
This recognition is a testament to the university's commitment to peace and excellence under Professor Samuel's leadership.
